2024 AAGPS Swimming Premierships

On Friday night, our swimmers and supporters travelled to Olympic Park to compete in the AAGPS Swimming Premierships.

The culmination of our swimming season saw our Senior competitors take out the AAGPS Premiership ahead of Newington in a tense, hard-fought battle that went right up to the last two events. The Senior team also came 2nd in the separate Open Relay competition, only behind Newington.

While our Intermediate and Junior teams did not achieve the same success, they all swam extremely well, putting in a superb effort.

It was wonderful to hear the encouragement and war cries from our many supporters on the night. Thank you to all who came along to encourage our competitors.

The evening also saw Senior competitor James break two GPS records, in the 50m Freestyle and 100m Freestyle, while our 4x50m and 4x100m Medley relay consisting of Roy, James, Charles and James also broke the GPS records.

Congratulations to all involved, it was a great night and a wonderful close to the swimming season.
