King’s Cricket Conquest

The conclusion of the 2025/26 AAGPS Summer Season marks the end of what has been an exceptionally successful campaign for cricketers of The King’s School.

The season was capped off in outstanding fashion, with both our 1st and 2nd XI finishing as AAGPS Premiers for the second consecutive season, a brilliant achievement by all involved.

This remarkable result reflects the depth, strength and consistency of our Cricket program, further cementing King’s as a leading cricket school within the AAGPS competition.

Team success was also reflected in a number of individual honours, with several students earning representative selections throughout the season.

  • Ed was selected for the ACT team to compete in the National Under 19 Championships in Perth.
  • Vivaan was selected for the NSW Metro team that competed the Under 17 National Championships in Brisbane.
  • Vivaan and Finn have been selected in the NSW Schoolboys team for 2026.
  • Finn, Vivaan, Max, Edward and Ahan were selected in the NSW Open CIS team that competed at the NSW All Schools Competition.
  • Aarav, Finn, Vivaan, Max, Edward and Ahan were selected in the Combined AAGPS Squad.
  • Rupert, Milton and Ethan were selected in the AAGPS Chairman’s Under 15 Team.
  • Milton and Ethan were selected for the NSW Under 15 team that competed at the School Sports Australia National Championships.

This season also provided a unique opportunity for our 1st XI, who competed in a 50-over match against the Chinese National Men’s Team who were in Australia for a training camp. It was a memorable experience, allowing students to test themselves against international opposition and showcase their talent on what was a special day.

The season concluded with the 2026 King’s Cricket Club Luncheon, a wonderful occasion to celebrate the achievements of our players and reflect on the strong sense of community that underpins King’s Cricket. Former Australian cricketer and commentator, Kerry O’Keeffe, joined as the special guest with his insights and stories thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance.
