  • Pre-Kindy will be a five day program for boys during school terms.
  • A son will need to have turned four by March 31 of the entry year.
  • About 20 places will be offered to Pre-Kindy boys. Characteristically, there are more applications than places available – so don’t delay.
  • The program will reflect The International Baccalaureate PYP curriculum framework. The curriculum is collaborative, interactive, reflective and inquiry-based, with learning through play an essential characteristic. Learning will be under the direction of the Director of Learning for the Prep School.
  • The program will be enriched by specialist teachers in the Creative and Performing Arts, Mandarin classes and in Physical Education.
  • The Pre-Kindy classroom will be spacious and beautifully resourced, replicating a homely, caring atmosphere.
  • The Reggio Emilia philosophy will inspire the learning environments and the role of the child in his learning community.
  • Wellbeing, engagement and pastoral care will be led by The Director of Students.
  • The daily routine will replicate many aspects of ‘Big School’, and will set the boys up for greater success in the academic, social, physical and emotional areas of their lives.
  • Pre-Kindy boys may arrive after 8:00am for an 8:25am - 9:00am start. School finishes at 2:50pm and boys can stay for supervised play until 4:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
  • After School Care is available from 4:00pm onwards (3:00pm on Thursday) on a user-pays basis.
  • There is a smart but comfortable school uniform. Most items can be purchased at the Braeside Shop in the Senior School, 9683 8463 or .
