King's Mountain Bike Classic
The School's Mountain Bike facility was largely inspired and championed by passionate members of our School community. In November 2013 the track was officially opened by Cadel Evans and we hosted the inaugural King's Mountain Bike Classic with around 100 participants. It was a great School community event! In the fifth year over 230 riders participated in the Mountain Bike Classic.
Current students, Old Boys, staff, parents past and present and their families are invited to participate in the sixth annual King's Mountain Bike Classic along with students and families from schools with a Mountain Bike program. Other keen mountain bikers are also welcome. The event is proudly sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Parramatta.
Whilst there is a competitive element, the primary focus of the event is family fun. The race includes solo riders and two-person teams. The team category is a relay-style race. Team riders must hand over to the other rider in the team after each lap. As soon as a solo rider completes a lap, or both riders in the case of a team, the time counts and is valid in the final results. Teams can be made up of two mates, father and son, husband and wife, brother and sister or other combination. Visiting schools are encouraged to enter students in the team categories. All participating school students will receive points towards determining the overall champion school.

The King's School Mountain Bike Track is on private property and is generally restricted to School use only. The King's Mountain Bike Classic event is an opportunity for the broader mountain bike community to experience this excellent facility as invited guests of the School. We appreciate your support and co-operation in respecting the School's boundary at other times throughout the year.
