1.) I can't get access to the Intranet. Why?
Every evening the network of the school is backed up. This backup process begins at midnight and lasts for several hours. During this time, access to the intranet is NOT available. Outside of this, the intranet is available and can be accessed by anyone with a correct username and password.
2.) My username and password for the intranet doesn't seem to work. Can the webmaster fix it?
In a word NO. Usernames and passwords are managed by the schools ICT team. Any issues with usernames and passwords or enquiries about usernames and passwords should be directed to the helpdesk. The ICT helpdesk is manned from 8 am til 4 pm, Monday to Friday during school terms.
3.) I emailed the webmaster and haven't received a reply. Why?
All emails that are sent through to the webmaster email address are read between the hours of 8 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday during school terms. All emails are responded to as quickly as possible. Those sent throughout the afternoon and into the evening concerning student login issues, online assignment problems can only be replied to the next school day.
Sometimes this is too late for the student. As a general rule, students should log into the intranet from home several times a term to make sure that they have the level of access they need to fulfil any online academic assignments.
