The King's School Bus Services 2012

Detailed information about bus services provided to enable King's School boys to attend the School is available by contacting the School Transport Officer, Mr Max Yates on transport@kings.edu.au, Mrs Debbie Joyce djoyce@kings.edu.au.

The following bus services operate for The King's School:

1. Dural, Castle Hill, Galston and other north western suburbs [+][–]
   These services are provided in the main, by Hills Bus and detailed timetables may be accessed at http://www.hillsbus.com.au/school_zone/index.asp Applications for passes are available from the School Transport Officer Mr Max Yates, or from reception at Prep and Senior school. Please note the recent re-introduction of a Cherrybrook loop service by Hillsbus.
2. St Ives - Gordon Bus [+][–]
   Provided by Shorelink, commences from St Ives (outside Memorial Ave Reserve) at 7.05am, picking up at Gordon Station at 7.15am. Then proceeding directly to School.
3. Balmain - Drummoyne [+][–]
   Commences at Darling Street Balmain at 7.20am and proceeds through Drummoyne along Victoria Road to School with stops at West Ryde and other points as per detailed itineraries.
4. Lane Cove and Hunters Hill [+][–]
   Commences at 7.25am near Kingsford Smith Oval Lane Cove/Longueville and proceeds along River Road and the Tarban Creek Bridge to pick up near the Hunters Hill Hotel. This service then proceeds along Ryde Road onto Victoria Road to School.
5. Mosman Bus [+][–]
   Commences at the intersection of Bradleys Head Road and Thompson Street (7.15 am), thence via Bradleys Head Rd, Military Road (Transit Lane) onto Warringah expressway via on ramp, Lane Cove tunnel, M2 and Pennant Hills Road to School at 8.00 am.
6. Strathfield Station [+][–]
   Commences Strathfield Train Station (Northern Side) at 7.30am and proceeds down Concord Road, picks up opposite North Strathfield, then Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Then left into Homebush Bay Drive for a pick up at Liberty Grove (if required), proceeds to Newington Shopping Centre then via Holker Street to Silverwater Rd, Kissing Point Rd thence Bettington Rd to TKS.
7. Wahroonga Bus [+][–]
   Commerces at Wahroonga Train Station at 7.30am down Coonanbarra Rd onto Ada Ave pick up opposite Abbostleigh School into Fox Valley Rd stop opposite SAN Hospital onto The Comenarra Parkway onto Pennant Hills Rd to School at 8.05am.

All of the above services (2 - 7) operate two return runs each school afternoon (3.30pm and 5.30pm) except for Friday when the services only operate at 3.30pm.

8. Eastern Suburbs Sunday Service [+][–]
   Departs Lyne Park, Rose Bay at 7.00pm, proceeds along New South Head Road, pick up at Double Bay and Edgecliff, via Neutral Bay thence to school via Cross City Tunnel, Lane Cove Tunnel and M2.
9. Moss Vale Sunday Service [+][–]
   Departs from the Moss Vale clock tower at 5.00pm, proceeds via Bowral and Mt Annan (dinner stop). Arrives at school in time for evening Chapel service.
10. Pennant Hills, Beecroft, Epping and Parramatta Stations [+][–]
    Scheduled services connect the School with these railway stations. Further details about these services are available from the respective company websites or www.131500.com.au.
11. Boarders [+][–]
    Boarders are entitled to free travel home within NSW. Application forms for a Boarder's Pass are available from reception or the School Transport Officer.

Weekly Boarders or any other boys travelling by School Bus routes on Monday morning or Friday afternoon must book their journeys with the School Transport Officer, Mr Yates.
