| The first advertised entertainment offered by the School appeared as a listed program on 16th December 1836 in 'The School Gazette'. It was a concert of vocal and instrumental music performed in the school for the entertainment of the boys, their parents and the people of the Parramatta District. Dramatic and musical evenings have been a part of School life ever since. On March 27th 1992, The King's School's new Theatre opened with a superb production of Gilbert and Sullivan's "Gondoliers". Many years of planning has provided the school with a magnificent venue for musical and drama productions - a venue which was given a Merit Award in the Sulman Architectural Awards.
TARA / TKS PRODUCTION
THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND

King's & Tara are soon to stage "The Real Inspector Hound", Tom Stoppard’s classic spoof on the "Who done it?". This is an intriguing play that blurs the boundaries between actor, audience and critic. It is an opportunity for any of your students interested in drama and particularly those studying the Crime Writing elective in Extension 1 English to share in what, hopefully will be a fun night of theatre.
