| Christian Focus Week (12th - 19th Feb, 2009) |
Christian Focus week was a startling success again this year. “R U Connected?” was our theme for the week and as the God Squad doubled in size from 5 to 12 members, so did their impact:
|

|
- We had great attendances at all our regular Christian groups where an astounding:
- 61 boys said they wanted to reconnect their lives with Jesus.
- 29 boys chose to connect with Jesus for the first time, and
- 8 boys identified that they want to find out more about what it means to be connected with God.
- We held the God Squad’s ‘Big Brekkie’ where 115 Christian boys and staff got stuck into some bacon and egg rolls and were challenged to grasp the gift of being connected with God and that God can use us to connect our mates with him.
- The God Squad demolished the King’s boys in break time competitions of cricket, ping pong, basket ball and classic catches but were not surprisingly defeated in rowing.
- Finally we were visited on the final day by the ‘God’s Squad’ Christian Motorcycle Gang who came (on their Harley Davidson’s) and shared about how they are seeking to connect with the Motorcycle world in Sydney.

We consider it a great privilege that one of the first things we did as a school this year was to focus on our connection with God. Christian Focus week has established a great foundation with which we can build on and grow in the year to come. We are thankful to all those who prayed for us, for the boys who came to our groups and those willing to discuss their faith positions, and to the school for setting aside the time to focus on our most important connection: Our connection with our Creator!
