Children are a great blessing from God. Parents are given the responsibility to raise their children in every facet of life. It is important that we also educate and encourage them in the Christian faith.
Baptism provides the opportunity to make Christian promises on behalf of your children. Our prayer is that one day when they are old enough they will take on and live out these promises themselves. Baptism in the School Chapel is available for those who are part of the King’s School Community. Baptisms are usually taken by the School Chaplains, Rev Stephen Edwards or Rev Stuart Tye, but it is possible for another Anglican Minister of your choice to take the service. The Service usually occurs after our weekly morning service at midday. To prepare parents (and godparents) for the promises they will make and to grow in their Christian lives we provide a seminar on Sunday morning during “Church@Kings”. It will also be helpful to go through the service at a convenient time.
If you would like further information regarding baptisms in the Chapel then feel free to contact the Chaplain’s Office (Ph: 96838414 or email: chaplain@kings.edu.au) to ask your questions or for an information letter to be sent to you. |
